The installation In the Semicircle Next to the Lamp brings together works created by Gesa Lange in 2017, where the artist takes drawing and the canvas as the starting point of an exploratory journey whose course overreaches the margins of the flat surface and enters into a space – another –, conceived by Lange in a personal and deeply original way.

Gesa Lange has also published an artist’s book with the same title as this installation, and for this book I wrote a text which you can read also in its original German version here.
