I curated the exhibition Legible – Visible. Between the Film Frame and the Page with the assistance of Maite Muñoz, while Ricardo Duque and Tiago Pina, from studio Todojunto, were in charge of the display design. Editorial Tenov, from Barcelona, published the accompanying book with the same title.
The exhibition aimed to explore the links of continuity, complementarity and dialectics that connect artist publications and audio-visual works – two formats that have experienced relevant developments during the last century. It included works (movies or slide projections and publications) by John Baldessari, Julián Barón, Christian Boltanski, Stan Brakhage, stanley brouwn, Ulises Carrión, Cine Quieto (Núria Gómez Gabriel y Gloria Vilches), Jef Cornelis, Patrícia Dauder, Guy Debord, Departament de Publicacions de RTVE, Fortunato Depero, Gilbert & George, Dan Graham, Vicente Huidobro, Dominique Hurth, William Kentridge, Rob van Leijsen, Rose Lowder, Chris Marker, Eline McGeorge, Miralda, László Moholy-Nagy, Raymond Pettibon, Marcel Pey, Alain Robbe-Grillet, Martha Rosler, Benet Rossell, Ed Ruscha, Isidoro Valcárcel Medina, Gloria Vilches and Lawrence Weiner.
After being on view at Center d’Art Santa Mònica, in Barcelona, Legible – Visible traveled to the 14th Cuenca Biennale in Ecuador, where it was shown at Sala Proceso.
